Love ya mom.

It was a year ago today I lost my mom to septic shock from a bacterial infection. A year ago today about an hour ago, actually. At this time last April 15th I was still holding her hand after she had passed, holding in her hand the birthday present I got for her the year before. 
It was one of those silly things... you see someone go through hell and always come back and it's something little like an infection that takes them away. She had been through FOUR major spinal reconstructive surgeries. Two knee replacements, and a reconstructive foot surgery. Lots of other little surgeries, too. Her spinal operations were in text books and one of the most extreme cases of spinal fusions ever.
That there are those here on DA and FA who used her against me with their friends. I know... I wasn't a nice guy to them but I never brought their moms into it. My mom didn't know what was going on, she had no hand in the matter, no say, and no way to defend herself. It's just more evidence to me that they are bad people. They ran out of diplomatic attacks against me so they had to start in on my mom.
Mom was an amazing person! You know that 69 Camaro of mine?  That was HER CAR in 1970! She would street race in it, and I don't mean just light to light stuff. She would race from Fort Collins Colorado all the way to Colorado Springs. That's about 130 miles. She packed HEAT! In her purse she always had either a .22 pistola or a .38 special. Two times she was walking into a court building and she'd she the metal detector, do an about FACE and march back out to the car to put the gun in the trunk! 
But she was also a very kind and welcoming person. You wouldn't think she was capable of being such a handful when she came out of the kitchen with a hot home cooked dinner in her hands! She was just a sweet innocent little old lady!
I miss my mom... but seeing how much she suffered I wouldn't ask to have her back. That would be cruel. 
If your mom is still with us go see her, give her a hug. If she is too far away, call her. Send her a card. Just a random "I love you" just... something. Because three days before my mom died we thought she was coming home in better health than she had been in YEARS. She was doing that good! Then... she was gone. So you never know... there is no guarantee there will be a tomorrow!
