Pain in the brass

Crap, I thought I had another pic of this gun on this computer. I have it on my camera somewhere, though!
I believe if they were made of brass it meant it was a naval gun. Not sure, though. I haven't done much research. Sadly, this gun no longer functions. I need to take it in and have it inspected, it's not latching. It could just need a little cleaning. Pull back the hammer and it doesn't catch. It does use the firing caps, but this one is different in that the whole cap sits inside a bowl in front of the hammer, like it's meant to keep windy rain away. I'll get a better photo of that as well.
