Description

A gift pic by :iconnicgiraffe: of Sierra being interviewed about what she is all about. Here is the interview. Sorry if it's wordy and long winded. I tried editing it down but was just never happy with it when I did, so I just said "Fuck it... just put it up there."

THE INTERVIEW!

Host: “Thank you for meeting with me for this interview! How have you been?”

Sierra: “You’re more than welcome! I appreciate you having me here! I have been okay.”

Host: “So first off I have to ask… How did you get to be so tough?”
Sierra: “I think it started when I was a kid. When I was little my dad ran with a biker gang and he always worried a rival would use me to get to him. He didn’t want me to be a victim and he sure didn’t want me in the lifestyle. So he began teaching me to fight when I was little. I still wound up in a gang myself. Believe me, we did some terrible things. That’s why I am working on the side of the law now. I just saw too many horrible things. Anyway… I got to be a fighter because I was emotionally, sexually and physically abused. I had to fight for my life a lot usually against hardened men. Then they thought it would be fun if they had me take on other members ol’ ladies. Even some other gangs got in on it. I won a lot of respect doing that and eventually took on the main man of our gang and stomped him into the ground. I had as much pull as he did. He was taken out of the picture and I tried to run things, but because I wanted it on the straight and narrow I lost the respect of the gang and we just sort of disbanded. Fortunately for me it wasn’t a blow up or war that broke the gang up. I think they just didn’t feel right being bossed around by a chick. Otherwise in most gangs once you’re in you don’t get out… at least alive. My gang did terminate people for trying to leave. So I feel fortunate.”

Host: “Wow… you said you were made into a fighter. It’s no secret you’re a professional boxer, kickboxer, and MMA fighter. I have to ask… what’s it like to be in the ring fighting like that?”

Sierra: “It’s SUCH A THRILL! Going into the fight I am just antsy. I want to get in there and go at it. To hear the crowd roaring makes me feel like a movie star! But once that bell rings it’s like it’s just my opponent, the referee and I in the whole universe. I don’t even consider the judges… which works against me I admit. When I am against the ropes and my opponent seems to have the upper hand there’s that worry that I might wind up not being able to make a comeback. When I am winning I just want to go in there and BANG! It’s complicated but I want to damage my opponent but I don’t want to HURT my opponent. I just want to beat them with my fists. I feel like a totally different person.”

Host: “You have been inactive for a while now. Are you retired?”

Sierra:  “No, I’m not retired. I probably will retire after getting my ass kicked a few times in a row when I get old.”

Host: “So where have you been?”

Sierra: “I haven’t been able to get any fights. I have had people challenge me but I have had to turn them down because I don’t like their conduct. They’re cases where I don’t give a damn about if they have any kind of skill. My record speaks for itself.”

Host: “What kind of conduct are we talking about?”

Sierra: “The oversexualization of the sport. More and more women are only trying to get in the ring with me to shake their breasts and asses. Most of them don’t show me any reason they have the kind of skill I seek. They in almost all cases made their career by ‘boxing’ topless and sometimes bottomless. They tell me they have respect for the sport. Respect for the traditions of the sport. Respect for the fighters who have bled or been injured and even killed for the sport. Yet they can’t be bothered to do anything to SHOW that respect. In my book and for so many others it’s that means there is no respect. They’re just telling me what I want to hear. They’re lying through their teeth. Actions speak louder than words.”

Host: “Surely there are acceptable opponents out there for you.”

Sierra: “There is a small handful of worthy fighters. I just can’t keep fighting the same four or five women over and over again. It’s boring for me and it’s boring for them and it’s boring for the fans.”

Host: I can understand that frustration. But you’re a very good looking woman, haven’t you considered maybe joining them even a little bit?”

Sierra: “Should I punch you in the mouth NOW or after the interview?”

Host: “I… I’m sorry I didn’t mean to overstep my bounds.”

Sierra: “I’m kidding! Just yanking your chain, that’s all! I knew you were going to ask hard questions. Anyway… I tried for a bit. I wouldn’t go nude but I caved in and upped the ‘sex appeal’ a little bit. Then the erotic fighting fans wanted more and more and more. It became clear they weren’t fans of the sport. A couple fans actually broke my heart when I learned they were more interested in what goes on in my trunks more than what I accomplish in the ring. Those fans almost made me retire. I cared so much about their opinion but when it came to choosing between me and some strippers who think sporting boxing gloves make them cool and exotic… they chose the over glorified strippers. It wounded me very deeply. ”

Host: “You had me scared there for a moment! I can understand how that would be upsetting.”

Sierra: “The excuses they give as to why they do it all nude are so weak. ‘it gets hot in the ring and I can’t tolerate it.’ To which I respond that all of us HAVE to be able to tolerate the same conditions. It’s part of the sport and part of our conditioning. If one fighter is blind would it be right to expect the other to be blindfolded to make it fair? Both fighters are in the same environment and if one has a weakness to it then they don’t belong there. Others contend ‘men fight without shirts off’ but women wear tops for GOOD reasons. Sports bras keep us from getting all saggy when we’re getting older. Stretch marks anyone? Scar tissue that can prevent breast feeding is also an issue aside from cosmetic issues. If they want to have nice breasts when they’re getting older without surgery they will take care of their tatas. I also bet that they will cry and whimper and bitch and moan if they’re skipped out of a good position because the other person is hotter than they are. How would YOU feel if all of your journalistic integrity meant nothing in favor for some bimbo who can’t string a sentence together without starting with ‘like’ and ending it with ‘totally!’ and even sneaking it in mid-sentence.”

Host: “I’d be… devastated. So there are a lot of problems in the sport.”

Sierra: “Erotic boxing isn’t by far the worst problems. It’s just what makes ME angry personally. But there’s a lot more to the problems in the sport. There’s mismanagement. Corrupt promoters, who incidentally know sex sells so they prefer to hire the good looking chicks over the good fighting WOMEN. Then the matchmakers… some states even have the sports commissioners working hand in hand with managers and match makers so they can protect their local heroes. Colorado protected one fighter by going to Brazil and giving him a phony record and title belt and advertised him as this unstoppable force. That poor kid went back to Brazil in a box! That’s why I’m a proponent of having a single national boxing commission so the states can eat a soggy biscuit. Even then we’d still have problems with intercontinental fights.”

Host: “You mean the fighter from Brazil was killed?”

Sierra: “Yes. And he isn’t the only one. Another problem is how local sports commissions often overlook health issues. During a Golden Gloves match a woman died in the ring. The commission ignored warning signs such as too many concussions in her past. She went in it to compete one last time and died competing for a medal. I don’t know if it was ignored or just missed but people’s health and lives are on the line.”

Host: “That is terrible! Have you thought about being a promoter or something?”

Sierra: “When I retire. I also intend to get more involved in the other aspects.”

Host: “You’re an amazing person! So are you going to keep boxing?”

Sierra: “If I can find an opponent who isn’t sticky and I’m confident the physical contact isn’t sexual in nature, sure! I don’t care about their sexuality or kinks. As long as the everyday person can look at what they do in public and how they conduct themselves and be okay with it… I would take them on. But if they pretend knockout their opponent and then have their way with them in the center of the ring they can just sit on it and giggle… which I’m sure they do that anyway. Being knocked out isn’t sexy or fun. It’s a miserable state. Here’s a video of how it feels and how it affects people’s lives. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHstgn…  They will feel anything but sexy. But it’s all an act. None of them are woman enough to handle the real thing. I don’t think there’s a woman in the sport who can take me! But the ones who beat their chests the hardest how good they are generally are the ones I only respond to with ‘ew! I wouldn’t touch you to scratch you. It’s so retarded… it isn’t even a good business decision to rely on sexuality for fame in the sport. If they’re as violent as they pretend then they wont be pretty for long. Swollen eyes lead to baggy eyes. Broken noses don’t stay as straight. Even baggy cheeks by the nostrils. Before they know it ‘When did Mickey Rourke grow BOOBS?’’

Host: “So you don’t worry about your appearance?”

Sierra: “I sure do! I’m proud of what I look like! I am just one of those fortunate souls who has a soul mate who doesn’t care what I look like. He’s by my side no matter what and I’m in his arms the moment he thinks I’m in danger. Those little kitten, bunnies, foxes, and other little cuties have to face that boxing is full of beautiful people that don’t stay beautiful for long. What are they going to do when they’re not pretty enough and promoters don’t want a girl who looks like she has a face that looks like a three day old jack-o-lantern.”

Host: “So, until then, what will you do?”

Sierra: “Unlike a lot of those little girls I have a lot of things in my life that I am passionate about. I’m a greasemonkey! Riding motorcycles it comes in handy knowing how to work on things. I’m even a pretty good painter! I take tremendous pride in teaching others self-defense. I also find my regular job very rewarding. S.T.A.T.A. That stands for Strategic Tactical Anti Terrorism Association. We handle the terrorist cells here in the US and often we go to other countries to bust them without drawing attention to them. I also go after gangs, mafias, and other organized crimes.”

Host: “Do you ever sleep?”

Sierra: “I can get by on four hours a night. I’m just lucky in that sense! Though I rest more before a fight. Boxing is what I do for fun more than anything. Sure as hell not for the money since there isn't much money to make. I try to be a friend to my opponents. I want to be there for my fans. They're all like part of my family... even if I'm punching them in the face. Honestly without the sport I might not find the strength in me anymore to go after any other dreams. As it stands my manager also manages four other fighters in my class… so fighting them has its problems. The same problems with the promoters and match makers. Besides… I always feel bad when I see Pepper get beat up! She’s such a sweetie!”

Host: “Thank you for spending some time with me answering questions. It has been enlightening! It's good to know you're still around!”

Sierra: “Thank you for having the interest in me to ask me those questions. It is important to me that to get my message out. Safety, skill, conditioning… It reminds me that there are people who still care about character and integrity. About professionalism. I have had pre-teen fighters tell me I inspire them and I feel great! I have had adult women say I am the reason they took up boxing, but decided to do it topless and naked, because I inspire them. That… hurts. It hurts a lot. It’s a test of the mettle of their character to do the right thing and consider if what they’re doing is harming others.”
